AARP South Carolina invites you to an in-person roundtable and panel on fraud prevention. Hear from local leaders and law enforcement on common scams and how to stay safe.
AARP South Carolina will host a Consumer Protection Professional Roundtable and General Session on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the USC Beaufort Hargray Building in Bluffton, SC. The event begins with a Professional Roundtable from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a General Session and Panel Discussion from 10:15 AM to 12:00 PM.This in-person event will feature local fraud prevention professionals, community leaders, and representatives from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office who will provide key insights into the latest scams, community impact, and law enforcement responses. The roundtable will facilitate collaboration among professionals, while the general session will educate attendees—particularly older adults—on how to recognize scams, take action, and protect themselves and others.
This event reinforces AARP’s commitment to empowering communities through education, awareness, and strategic partnerships in fraud prevention.
