Celebrate Día de los Muertos with AARP San Antonio at three free events featuring sugar skull decorating, altar-making, and a live dance and mariachi performance.
Join AARP San Antonio and the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center for a vibrant and meaningful celebration of Día de los Muertos. This hour-long workshop invites participants to learn about the cultural significance of traditional sugar skulls and how they honor loved ones during this sacred holiday. Attendees will be guided through the process of decorating their own sugar skulls, which they can take home as a keepsake. This event is the first in a three-part series hosted in partnership with the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center. It will be held in person at the Latino Bookstore. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
