AARP Houston, in partnership with MD Anderson Cancer Center, is hosting a session on Black women and breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, but Black women die from it more often than others. Join us to learn how to advocate for your health, understand mammograms, recognize signs and symptoms, and discover ways to reduce your risk. Participants will learn about the unique challenges Black women face, get tips on overcoming barriers, and understand how to catch breast cancer early when it’s easiest to treat.
