The Houston Public Library, in collaboration with AARP Houston, presents Nicole Deggins, founder of Sister Midwife Productions, for an insightful program on the history and impact of Black midwives. For centuries, these skilled women provided essential care, shaping maternal health and advocating for equity despite systemic challenges.
