The Employment Law webinar will:
• Provide an overview of federal and state anti-discrimination and harassment laws, discuss prohibited discrimination (Title VII Civil Rights bases covered in Federal Sector), identify who is protected by anti-discrimination laws and policies, discuss reasonable accommodation, the interactive process, and undue hardship.
• Provide an overview of disability discrimination and accommodations. Explain various types of harassment in the workplace (including sexual harassment) and how to effectively handle situations should they arise.
• Review the Protection against Retaliation law.
• Discuss prevention practices that can help to reduce the risk of discrimination and harassment in the workplace.
• Describe a supervisor’s obligation to identify and address potential workplace discrimination and harassment.
• Identify ways to create a positive work environment.
