Event is Cancelled

This event has been cancelled.  While convening events such as this is a core part of our mission, we have changed our approach in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

We want you to know that AARP is providing information and resources to help older people and caregivers protect themselves from the virus and prevent its spread. You can find AARP's coronavirus resources at We also point you to, and your state and local health agencies for the latest information.

Living Longer, Living Smarter: Your Finances and Your Wishes. Helping people live independently is central to AARP's social mission. The Living Longer, Living Smarter workshop helps participants to actively prepare for their futures and the need for long-term care. Participants will explore the wide range of personal choices they have in their finances, health, home & community, and legal considerations. Your Finances: Learn about retirement income and the cost of long-term care. Will you have enough assets to cover our increasing lifespans? Remember, Medicare usually only pays for medical care, not for long term care services and supports around the home. Your Wishes: Consider how you want your medical care and finances handled if you're unable to make decisions. What have you already put into writing and what needs to be decided or updated? When: Tuesday, May 19 | 11:00am- 12:00pm Where: SouthEast Seattle Senior Center, 4655 S Holly Street, Seattle, WA 98118 The event is free; pre-registration is requested. Scroll down to register.
