About the Event
Join AARP VT and Old Spokes Home to learn the basics of taking care of your bike.
An expert mechanic will guide you through an introductory 2-hour instructional workshop in which you will learn how to fix a flat tire, perform regular bicycle upkeep, and keep your wheels rolling smoothly between tunes.
Skills taught in this session include:
- Removing and reinstalling front and rear bike wheels
- Removing and reinstalling a bike tube and tire
- Maintaining a clean and well-functioning drivetrain by performing regular maintenance and lubrication
- Performing a basic safety check on your bicycle and other basic diagnostics
- A bike cleaning routine
This is a demonstration class taking place at Old Spokes Home located at 331 North Winooski Avenue in Burlington.
