About the Event
Join AARP Vermont and Rutland County Audubon for a spring bird walk at Miller Hill Farm, an old dairy farm on the Otter Creek in Sudbury.
The walk will be led by two experienced local birders on mowed trails. The diverse habitats on this property allow for a large variety of birds and other wildlife. Last spring, a nesting osprey, orchard oriel and belted kingfisher among other birds were seen. The current owners of this 18th century farm manage the land for grassland birds and run a native plant nursery.
The walk will be about 2 miles depending on weather and observations. Please bring your own binoculars.
Parking will be at the Miller Hill Farm 2127 VT 73 E, Sudbury, VT 05733. Please carpool if you can.
