Event is Cancelled

This event has been cancelled.  While convening events such as this is a core part of our mission, we have changed our approach in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

We want you to know that AARP is providing information and resources to help older people and caregivers protect themselves from the virus and prevent its spread. You can find AARP's coronavirus resources at www.aarp.org/coronavirus. We also point you to www.cdc.gov/coronavirus, and your state and local health agencies for the latest information.

Join AARP Texas and the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center on the last Tuesday of every month for Cine de Oro, a celebration of the Golden Era of Mexican cinema.

Each month we host a free film screening, followed by a healthy lunch. The films vary month to month and are shown in Spanish with English subtitles.

July 28: "FRIDA"

A biography of artist Frida Kahlo, who channeled the pain of a crippling injury and her tempestuous marriage into her work.
