IMPORTANT: River Ride with a Ranger, originally scheduled for June 7th has been re-scheduled for June 25 due to flooding.  The route and time frame will remain the same


Join AARP Twin Cities for a bike ride along the Mighty Mississippi with the National Park Service Riders will gather at Harriet Island for an educational group ride guided by National Park Service Rangers to learn about the geologic and human history of the Mississippi. After a quick safety talk and equipment check with the help of our partners the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota, cyclists will split into two groups to embark on a ride that will cover 8 miles of St. Paul riverfront over the course of approximately 3 hours. 9:30 AM Registration/Check In 10:00 AM River Ride with a Ranger, begins! All participants must wear a helmet. This is a guided ride with four or five stops, led by certified League Cycling Instructors. Please stay with the group. There will be a team of Park Rangers and volunteers. One will take the lead, one will float through the middle of the group and one will ride 'sweep' and take up the rear. Parking available onsite. This event is rain or shine.
