“Redefining Livability in a Virtual World.”

AARP Rhode Island and Age-Friendly RI  are co-hosting a FREE virtual forum on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. entitled “Redefining Livability in a Virtual World.”  The forum, conducted on the Zoom Webinar platform, will focus on the impact that the pandemic has had on older adults regarding the four domains of livability: Social Participation and Respect & Social Inclusion and Communications & Information and Community & Health Services. In its wake, the pandemic has left providers and everyone who relies on them scrambling to remain connected for continued services and lessen loneliness and social isolation.

Many providers have risen to the occasion with innovative solutions and are finding new ways to serve their patrons by bringing technological access, connectivity and training to older adults. We are pleased to highlight some of these programs at the forum and look forward to you joining us in our intent to generate understanding, enthusiasm and momentum for an age-friendly virtual community.
