Tour the National Constitution Center’s exhibit on the fight for women’s suffrage.
About the Event
Join AARP PA and The National Constitution Center for a virtual guided tour tracing the triumphs and struggles leading to ratification of the 19th Amendment. The tour, led by a museum educator, will highlight some of the women involved in the long fight for women’s suffrage, including Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Alice Paul, and Ida B. Wells. Viewers will get a look at some of the artifacts on display, such as a rare printing of the Declaration of Sentiments from the first women’s rights convention in Seneca Falls and a ballot box used to collect women’s votes in the late 1800s.
