Walking is one of the most powerful steps you can take to living a healthier, happier life. Join us for some exercise all while discovering beautiful walking routes throughout the Lehigh Valley with AARP Lehigh Valley volunteers. The walks are designed for all levels and will accommodate different paces and distances. We will meet in person for our group walks on eight select Tuesdays this fall. The walk will begin promptly at 10 am and last for an hour. Register for one or all eight of the scheduled walks! We meet at the park just past the Ice House. Nearby parking listed from closest to furthest from the Sand Island Park playground: 1-Parking behind the Ice House, next to wall around playground. 2-Across the street from the Ice House on River Street, about 12 parking spaces. 3-In front of Ice House on River Street. 4-D&L Trailhead, very large parking lot at Main Street and West Lehigh Street; $1 per hour parking fee. Walk south on Main Street over canal bridge to River Street and turn left to get to playground. There is more parking east and west of the playground on River Road also.
