Racism results in disparity. It limits housing opportunities for people of color which then impacts their health and impacts all of us. This AARP Ohio Black History Month virtual event will take a look at disparity in general, in housing and the connection to health with the hope that it will start conversation and action among those who are committed to eliminating disparity.

Jean Accius is a senior vice president with AARP and a nationally recognized thought leader on aging, longevity, health and long-term care policy. He leads AARP in its work on disparity issues.

Angela Mingo serves as the Director of Community Relations for Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. She has been instrumental in the implementation of the Healthy Neighborhoods, Healthy Families initiative led by Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
