About the Event
How has one of the most developed tracts of land on Planet Earth managed to preserve so many final resting places? From the base of soaring skyscrapers to underground columbariums, Manhattan's collection of burial sites and symbolic monuments is well worth exploring, with the help of a few "clews."
This presentation, a collaboration with the New York Adventure Club, will be a digital exploration of the graves, cemeteries, crypts, and memorials of Manhattan, many of which have honored the deceased for hundreds of years in the face of New York's runaway building spree. Led by licensed tour guide and authority on graveyards Dave Gardner, our exploration of Manhattan's final resting places will include:
