Spill the Tea: Let's Talk!
Practicing Compassion for Ourselves in 2021
Spill the Tea is an opportunity to come together (virtually), have a friendly discussion on important topics, and leave feeling connected!
It’s a new year, but we find ourselves still struggling with the impact of the pandemic. This month, we’ll chat about the importance of compassion, and focus on being present and kind to ourselves. Connect with new friends, share thoughts and ideas, and learn from one another - bring your favorite cup of tea (or whatever you like) and join us!
About Our Facilitator: Betty Russell, LCSW
Betty Russell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada who practices mental health therapy. She has both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work and has worked in the field for more than 15 years, and has a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from working in an inpatient mental health setting as well as community, hospital, hospice and skilled nursing facilities.
Betty began her career working for the State of Nevada Aging and Disability Services where she became impassioned about the older adult population and has since intentionally focused in this area of expertise.
In addition to older adults, Betty believes it is important to support those who serve and works with both active duty military personnel and veterans. She devotes her time to providing services to those in need, community education and support to the aging population and their caregivers. Betty is now the Director of Clinical Social Services for a leading Nevada geriatric non-profit organization.
