AARP Nevada is proud to host this innovative, comprehensive, military cultural competence, dementia and eldercare training program, developed by the Nevada Department of Veterans Services (NDVS), the Perry Foundation, and Jennifer Carson, PhD, for three primary reasons:
- The need to improve military cultural competence/humility among healthcare providers.
- The need to provide comprehensive dementia care education.
- The need to serve and support people, including older and disabled veterans.
