According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, yoga is good for more than relieving stress “practicing yoga may help lower blood pressure, blood cholesterol and blood glucose levels, as well as heart rate, making it a useful lifestyle intervention.” It’s also thought that the heart is the center of our emotions and Learning to live with an open heart has a very real effect on how we feel, emotionally and physically. It can make us feel lighter and happier, more even and at peace.
