Myrna Soundstage April Concert
Supaman and Chontay Standing Rock
This episode features two unique, sensational voices from Indian Country: Supaman and Chontay Standing Rock. One is an internationally touring Crow rapper whose powerhouse work inspires kids and adults across the country. The other is a rising young Chippewa Cree artist whose heartfelt songs quietly upend all expectations of traditional Native American music.
Multiple award-winning Supaman, (Christian Takes Gun Parrish) is an Apsaaloke (Crow) musician, dancer, and rapper. His one-of-a-kind presentation combines Native culture, comedy and urban hip hop culture in a fresh, captivating, powerhouse style. His uncanny ability to motivate, encourage, and inspire through dance, and hip hop music keeps him at the forefront among his contemporaries has made him a powerful voice for Indigenous issues, especially among youth.
