AARP in St. Louis Trail Trekkers℠
Let’s hit the trail! Spend a Saturday morning with AARP in St. Louis on a guided hike on the White Oaks Trail at Hawn State Park. Our Trail Trekkers℠ program explores a different trail each month.
Our hiking team will take care of everything – you just need your comfortable hiking shoes/boots, water, and sense of adventure!
Check in starts at 8:45 am. The hike will start at 9:00 a.m. and end around 11:00 am. We will be hiking White Oaks Trail. The hike will be about 4.2 miles with several sections comprised of rocky terrain. Please wear hard soled shoes for this hike - Tennis/Running shoes are not suitable for this terrain. In addition, everyone must bring their own supply of water - we will all need it!

Information about Hawn State Park: Hills of stately pine and oak trees, sandy-bottom streams and sandstone canyons and cliffs create one of the most significant and scenic landscapes in Missouri at Hawn State Park. Located in western Ste. Genevieve County, the 4,956-acre park offers a special experience for anyone wanting to enjoy the splendor of nature. Geology buffs come to the park to see the number of exposed rock types; hikers love the park for its amazing trails and bird watchers flock to the park for its variety of birds.
