Join AARP in Springfield for a free screening of The Immortal Life Of Henrietta Lacks starring Oprah Winfrey and Rose Byrne. 

Based on the nonfiction book by Rebecca Skloot's the story is told through the eyes of Henrietta Lacks' daughter, Deborah Lacks. The film follows Deborah’s search for her mother Henrietta, and the discovery of  how the unauthorized harvesting of Henrietta’s cancerous cells in 1951 led to numerous medical breakthroughs, changing countless lives and the face of medicine forever.
