Join us for “Dynamic Design in Everyday Objects,” a close virtual look inside the University of Minnesota’s Goldstein Museum of Design.
About the Event
A discussion of the rich history and present aims of the University of Minnesota’s Goldstein Museum of Design will start the session, followed by an interactive presentation of objects and their stories. A wide variety of objects will be shared from the Goldstein Museum’s five main collecting areas: apparel, textiles, decorative arts, product design, and graphic design. Participants' insights are welcome!
Our speaker is Jean McElvain, Ph.D., curator at the museum. Dr. McElvain brings a deep understanding of many facets of 19th- and 20th-century design, identifying relationships between everything from fashion to architecture.
