Join AARP Michigan staff Karen Kafantaris and Jeff Keesler to learn more about AARP's Age-Friendly Communities program and how your community can benefit from this great community development tool. Age-Friendly Communities helps communities plan and organize to become friendly places for all people to live, work, and play.
This is the afternoon session of a 2-part training. Both sessions are stand alone sessions and do not repeat the same information but build upon one another.
The morning session will be for people who are interested in learning more about the program, but who have not yet committed to joining the AARP network of AFC's.
The afternoon session will be for people who have committed to joining the AARP network of AFC's. This workshop will help communities setup a project timeline for executing the tasks of the program. Attendees will also hear best practices from other communities who have gone through the AFC program.
If you are interested in attending the morning session please register for that here: https://aarp.cvent.com/AFCMorningWorkshop2620.
Call or email Jeff Keesler with any questions at 517-267-8901 or email@example.com.
