AARP Maine is hosting two social events in recognition of the Asian American Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month during May. Each year, the AANHPI Heritage Month is a time to reflect upon and celebrate the remarkable role of the AANHPI community in our nation’s history.
This May, during AANHPI Heritage Month, AARP Maine celebrates the history and achievements of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) in Maine by hosting two social gatherings at the State Office for AARP Maine. Also, we will be launching AARP Maine’s first AANHPI Advisory Committee as we hope engage more meaningfully with the AANHPI communities in Maine.
