Event is closed or full.

Join AARP for a free yoga class on the waterfront at Piers Park, East Boston, with spectacular views of downtown Boston across the harbor.  Arrive by 10:45 am to be relaxed before the class starts at 11:00 am.

This will be a one hour yoga flow class, appropriate for beginners and all levels, taught by a qualified and experienced yoga teacher (bio below) who is herself a member of AARP.  Wear comfortable clothing which allows you to move freely, and footwear is easy:  most people practice yoga in bare feet.  If you have a yoga mat, feel free to bring it, otherwise bring a large beach towel which is just as suitable.

There are public restrooms and water fountains.  You may wish to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at Piers Park afterwards - there are several picnic tables and benches.

Yoga Teacher - Seta K Wehbé

Seta was first introduced to yoga back in the nineties when searching for an exercise form that would work with the body in a therapeutic fashion rather than stress it more. Over the years the practice of this time-honored discipline became more and more important to her, finding that it encompassed so much more than the physical aspects of daily living. Once retired, she decided to deepen her practice by enlisting to the teacher training program at Back Bay Yoga, being fortunate at having passionate and inspiring teachers. She has been teaching for several years now, but continues to be a student as well!”

Piers Park is less than a 10-minute walk from Maverick T station on the Blue line.  There is also a parking lot at the park, and street parking on Marginal Street adjacent, all free.  Lastly, a free ferry service is being run by the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) at Fan Pier, to their ICA Watershed location in E Boston, just steps from Piers Park.

Meet by 10:45 am at the southeast corner of the park, close to the pier – you will see an AARP table.
