On Thursday, May 9, 2024, AARP Illinois will host “Conversations with Chicago Leaders – A Discussion About Building Wealth and the Future of Social Security” that will focus on the impact of emerging solutions for addressing solvency challenges with Social Security.
As part of that effort, AARP Illinois invites you to join us to discuss the future of retirement wealth-building, including Social Security. This forum will engage Chicago residents, AARP members, those 50+ and their loved ones, policy leaders, the media, critical stakeholders and key influencers with particular focus on African American/ Black, Hispanic/Latino, and women, educating them about the many ways to prepare for a secure retirement and uniting a ‘grassroots army’ of Chicagoans and Illinoisans ready to engage with federal policymakers when the time is right to ensure the Social Security program is solvent and adequate for the long term.
