What Are We Going to Do About Mom?

Family Dynamics in Caregiving

Family caregivers are often faced with difficult decision making situations while caring for their elderly loved ones.  This workshop provides a case study of a local family and the mis-steps that can frequently occur.  Participants will learn strategies as to how families can avoid snares and pitfalls that families are often faced with.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Michael Cheang and his sisters were caregivers for their mother, who suffered from dementia.  He teaches Family Resource Management at the UH-Manoa and conducts family caregiver education workshops in the community.
