Join "Walk With a Doc," each Sunday at Queen Liliuokalani Gardens for a physician led health talk and a community walk. It's free and everyone is welcome.
Join a short physician led health talk and a community walk each Sunday at 8 AM at Queen Liliuokalani Gardens. It's free and everyone is welcome. There is no need to pre-register. You can walk fast or slow, alone or with friends -it’s up to you!
How it Works:
- No need to pre-register.
- Walkers fill out a one time liability waiver.
- Medical students from the John A. Burns School of Medicine and resident physicians from the Hawaii Island Family Medicine Residency Program start each walk with a short medical talk.
- The talk is then followed by up to an hour of walking.
It's a great way to motivate yourself to get more active and learn more about healthy behaviors. AARP Hawaii is proud to be a collaborative community partner for Walk With a Doc. Stop by the AARP table the 3rd Sunday of each month to find out about our local events and pick up snacks and information.
