Free Shredding Event & Food Drive
Saturday, April 27, 2019 (8:00 am - Noon)
AARP Hawaii and Access Information Protected are teaming up again for a free document shredding event at the Access Information Protected secure document destruction facility in Aiea. The public is invited to bring old tax forms, bank statements, and other sensitive papers for convenient on site destruction. This is a drive through and drop-off event with unloading assistance available. Staples and paperclips do not need to be removed. AARP membership is not required.
Guidance and Limitation:
- Access Information Protected requires a signed document release form before they will shred your documents. You may speed up the process on the day of shredding by downloading and signing the form ahead of time. We will also have forms available at the event. Download the form here: Agreement for Secure Destruction Services
- Drive Through Only! Due to safety concerns and to ensure that we are able to serve as many people as possible, we are unable to accept people on foot this year or allow people to get out of their vehicle to watch their paper shredded. We will have HPD officers on site to direct traffic. Drivers will ONLY be allowed to make a right turn into the destruction plant and a right turn to out of the destruction plant.
- Limit 2 boxes or bags of paper material. Please pack your material in a box or bag that you are willing to dispose of as we are not able to dump your material and return your boxes on site.
- Food Drive: Participants are encouraged to bring donations of rice or canned goods or make monetary donation to benefit Hawaii's hungry families. All donations will stay in the community and be given to the Hawaii Food Bank.
