Regardless of what you call it, protein on a stick is a favorite around the world. In this demonstration, we will explore some of the options for preparing this favorite using vegetables, meats, tofu and a variety of seasonings as well as the important considerations to assure that each item is cooked to perfection at the same time.  You'll also get a recipe for a classic Thai Peanut sauce for satay and a Yakitori sauce.

Daniel Swift is the workforce development coordinator at Windward Community College, focusing on the areas of Hospitality and Food and Beverage education.  He has taught culinary, baking, and pastry hospitality courses for the last 19 years and is host of the AARP Hawai'i Fast Healthy and Ono Cooking series.
