Protect Yourself From Technology Scams

Every day, criminals try to gain access to our technology in order to steal our personal information. It may be a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft® or Apple™, asking for remote access to your computer.  Or, perhaps a pop up window appears on your computer screen telling you to click to update your Virus Protection software and suddenly your computer is frozen and being held for ransom.  No matter the approach, the goal is the same.  These thieves are trying to gain access to our computers and cell phones to steal our money and our identities.  If you slip and accidentally let them in, getting rid of them and protecting yourself can feel impossible.

  • Learn the common scams
  • Learn how to protect yourself
  • Find out what to do if a criminal gets access to your technology
