Voices of Baltimore Documentary Discussion
The topic of "integration" generates many reactions from older black Americans, who were among the first in their families to integrate schools in the mid 1900's. Join AARP Experience Baltimore-Branch and AARP Maryland state office as we share a reflective discussion based on the documentary "Voices of Baltimore: Life under Segregation" produced by Towson University’s Elementary Education Professor Dr. Gary Homana.
• A panel discussion follows a brief screening of the documentary.
• This inter-generational event will take place at Dunbar High School on February 21st from 4 pm-7 pm with an expected attendance of over 100 people of all ages.
• Dunbar is located at 1400 Orleans Street in Baltimore, MD 21231
• This event is free and open to the public.
Come, listen and learn how events of yesterday shape the current educational culture. Light refreshments available.
