Come join AARP Florida at All Saints Cinema for a special screening of the film My Music by filmmaker Kenneth Jones.

Inspiring, uplifting and magical, Ruth is sent to take care of her Aunt Inez, who has Alzheimer’s disease, a form of dementia. My Music delves into Ruth as a caregiver for Aunt Inez and the struggle of her lifelong dream coming true to become a songstress in a musical world.

A MFA graduate from Florida State University Film School, My Music, is Jones’ third (3rd) feature film. An “Official Selection” of the Sedona International Film Festival, My Music was reviewed as “magical,” “uplifting,” and “Inspiring.” Jones’ films have been distributed on PBS, HBO and his feature, “Love & Fate,” was an Encore/Starz Movie. His international and national awards include a CINE Eagle Award amongst others. His docudrama “Rosewood” for PBS was called “a chilling reenactment” by the Ft. Lauderdale Sun Sentinel.

Following the film there will be a Q&A period with the filmmaker.  Representatives from the Tallahassee Memory Disorder Clinic, Covenant Care and the Alzheimer's Project will  be at the screening to share caregiver supports and resources.
