Join AARP Connecticut for a screening of The Hidden Power of Purpose, a feature-length documentary film narrated by Debbie Allen, profiling four stories of incredible human beings who are living lives driven by purpose and making the world a better place through their ideas and efforts. The film bridges the inspiring stories with the latest scientific research from academia and industry, interweaving insights from the world’s leading health experts whose work affirms that living a life of purpose and living longer are inextricably intertwined.
Immediately following the film, we will be joined by one of its profile subjects, Mark Barden, the father of Daniel, who was killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting. Mark Barden is co-founder and CEO of the Sandy Hook Promise Action Fund. He will join us for a Q&A segment to discuss how he turned tragedy into his new purpose.
