Join AARP CO for a 6 week Low Impact Cardio/Strength Training class in the comfort of your own home. Certified fitness instructor, Shauni Hawkins will lead you each week at 9 a.m., Thursdays, March 13 - April 18, 2024.
AARP realizes that healthy habits, including exercise and eating right, can lead to a better, longer, happier life. Let’s get your heart rate up with low impact cardio, combined with strength and balance training for a fun and sweaty full body workout. We’ll finish with an energizing stretch so you’re ready to tackle the rest of your day.
Equipment needed: a chair and light/medium dumbbells OR household items like canned food, water bottles, balls, throw pillows to provide resistance.
This class is free, but you must pre-register. You will need to register separately for each session you are interested in attending. Please note that you must be signed in to your AARP.org account or create an account to register. AARP membership is not required to create an account.
Please do not opt out of event-related email, as you will be emailed a link to join the class via Zoom prior to the event.
Each participant must complete a waiver of liability as part of the registration process prior to participating. If you would like to invite a guest to this event, they will need to register themselves directly to agree to the liability waiver.
