Celebrate Black History through the eyes of the African skies. View stars visible from Egypt, Kenya, and South Africa.
Celebrate Black History by learning about the mythology of the stars, myths and legends originating from all over the African continent. Beyond the unique and vivid tales, we will see the stars from their perspective (or latitude). Led by astronomer Dean Regas the program includes views of the stars from Egypt, Kenya, and South Africa where we will explore stars not viewable from Cincinnati. Also view Venus and the stars of Orion through the historic telescope (weather permitting). Admission is free for you and a guest.
Registration is required. This event is overbooked to ensure that capacity is reached. Seating is first come, first served.
