Join AARP Fraud Watch Network, the office of Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson, Mothers in Action, LA Sanitation and the LA Sentinel, for a FREE community waste collection and shred event on Saturday, June 22nd. from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Locke High School, 325 E. 111th. Street, Los Angeles, CA 90061.
Come dispose of any unwanted documents containing sensitive information in a FREE, safe and secure manner. The shred event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the waste collection will continue until 3:00 p.m.
This event is FREE but you must register for the AARP shredding service, an early arrival is encouraged.
What to bring: Electronic Waste (televisions, computers, monitors, printers, cables, telephones, radios, stereos, VCRs), Motor Oil, Oil Filters, Tires (limit 9) documents and paper for shredding.
What not to bring: Batteries, Containers over 5 gal., Ammunition/Explosives, Asbestos Materials, PCB-Related Materials, Business/Commercial Waste, Construction Waste, Fireworks/Marine Flares, Bulky Items/Furniture, Medicines.
