In 1926, the Phoenix Union Colored High School opened as the segregated High School for African Americans living in Phoenix, Arizona.
Today, the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center is a national historic site dedicated to the collection, documentation, preservation, study, and dissemination of the history and culture of African Americans in Arizona.
Affectionately known as “The Carver”, known for its exhibitions, archives, and community education programs designed to explore the role of African-Americans in shaping the history of Arizona.
This tour is FREE with plenty of FREE Parking.
