We’ll explore the risks of online gaming, increasingly popular among older adults.
About the Event
Online gaming is not just for kids! Solitaire, sudoku, adventure games - with social isolation on the rise, more adults are turning to online gaming for interaction. According to a recent AARP article, “there are more than 52 million gamers over the age of 50.”
But is online gaming safe? Con artists have found their way into this world, too, and look for ways to get gamers to give away personal or financial information. During this session of “Slam the Scam,” hear from an authority on online gaming scams and ways to protect ourselves and our loved ones.
AARP Arkansas and AARP Wisconsin are teaming up to bring you three webinars highlighting different aspects of fraud. The other two involve artificial intelligence and scams targeting veterans and military families.
