ACCEPT THE 605K CHALLENGE!
Commit to running, walking, biking, skiing, MOVING 605 kilometers (approximately 376 miles) this year and AARP SD will make it a little easier with encouraging notes and prizes* each quarter!
Why 605K? Not only is 605 our state's area code - but it's also remarkably close to the distance across our state (from WY to MN)! At the end you can brag that you traversed SD! Pace is entirely up to you but we recommend about one mile per day (7 miles per week / 31 miles per month). Any intentional, physical activity can be counted. All distance is self-reported but we hope you'll share your progress so success can be celebrated throughout our actively aging community!
