BECOME A VOLUNTEER CHILD ADVOCATE!
Every child deserves a voice. Will it be yours? The mission of the State of Florida Guardian ad Litem Office is to help fulfill society's most fundamental obligation by making sure a qualified, compassionate adult will fight for and protect a child's right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect and to learn and grow in the security of a loving family. Thousands of abused and neglected children become the subject of judicial proceedings each year in Florida. Their voices are often unheard, and best interests overlooked in the complicated and overburdened dependency court process.

Volunteer Child Advocates are responsible for gathering facts surrounding a child's case, reviewing reports, visiting a child's home, school or placement and providing the court with an unbiased recommendation on what is required to serve the best interests of the child. It is only through our Volunteers and their hard work that the Florida Guardian ad Litem Office, Fourth Circuit for Duval, Clay and Nassau counties can continue to advocate for individual children. Advocating for the child's best interest is our only interest. Help us serve every child!

Please provide your contact information (phone number, email address, county of residence) via email at gal.recruiter1@gal.fl.gov so that we can reach out to you! We look forward to speaking to you soon!
