Built in 1925, the building was originally the Bank of Hueneme, then was the city’s first City Hall. Today, the Museum houses historical artifacts, photographs and information on the history of the Hueneme area. Famed architect Myron Hunt designed the building, who was also responsible for designing the Bard Mansion, the Huntington Library in San Marino, and the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.
