Open to the public on Veterans Day 2005, the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve, promote and protect the legacy and dignity of all U.S. veterans through public display and to educate the public, especially our youth, to the experiences and history of veterans during times of war. We seek to ensure that current and future generations understand the true nature of war, and recognize the sacrifices made in the name of freedom and security.

Education is our primary focus. We seek to further the education of students everywhere with an up close and personal experience of the pivotal battles of U.S. history. We strive to preserve the "living history" of our veterans in a database accessible on kiosks at the Museum. And we offer a rich selection of lesson plans and materials for general classroom use, or in preparation for a visit to our Museum.
