Baker Heritage Museum-

The Baker Heritage Museum features over 30,000 square feet of permanent and changing exhibits telling the story of Baker County history. The Museum itself was once a community center and natatorium. Although the pool no longer exists, visitors can still take in the gorgeous views of the Elkhorn and Wallowa mountain ranges from the 1920’s era ballroom.  From the glitz and glamour of a gold era boomtown to the excitement of life on the Oregon Trail, the museums’ exhibits make history come to life. Other exhibits cover topics including timber, wildlife, ranching, and Chinese culture. The museum is also home to one of the largest rock, gem, and mineral collections in the western United States.
