AARP Pennsylvania Hosts Free Shredding Event in Partnership with Continental Paper Grading and York County Food Bank

Harrisburg, PA – AARP Pennsylvania, in conjunction with Continental Paper Grading and the York County Food Bank, is pleased to announce a free shredding event on April 20th from 10 am to 2 pm at Continental Paper Grading, 3350 Concord Road, York, PA 17402

The event aims to help Pennsylvania residents protect their identities and dispose of sensitive documents securely. There is no limit to the amount of personal documents attendees can bring. However, no electronic devices will be accepted. All shredding services will be provided free of charge.

David Kalinoski, AARP Associate State Director for Community Outreach, said: "Identity theft is a growing concern for many Pennsylvanians, especially older adults who are often targeted by scammers. This event offers a safe and convenient way to dispose of sensitive documents and protect against identity theft."

Troy Yerger, Plant Manager for Continental Paper Grading York, added: "We are proud to partner with AARP Pennsylvania and the York County Food Bank for this important community event. Shredding documents is a simple step individuals can take to protect their privacy and avoid becoming victims of identity theft."

In addition to providing a valuable service to the community, the event will also support the York County Food Bank's mission of alleviating hunger and improving food security in York County. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to the event.

Attendees that register in advance will receive a free gift from AARP, while supplies last. For more information and to register, click here.
